 n\n\nAbstract\nCox rings are a generalization of homogeneous coordinate ri
 ngs which are polynomial rings exactly for toric varieties. Their finite g
 eneration has been characterized in geometric terms by Hu and Keel and it 
 implies two conditions: 1) any nef class is semiample\; 2) the effective c
 one is polyhedral.\n\nA natural problem is the finite generation of the Co
 x ring of the blowing-up of a toric variety at a point. This is related to
  other open problems like e.g. the Nagata conjecture. Examples of such non
 -finitely generated Cox rings have been given by several authors by constr
 ucting a nef class which is not semiample.\n\nIn this talk\, after reviewi
 ng recents results\, I will focus on examples of blowing-ups of toric surf
 aces at a point admitting a non-polyhedral effective cone\, answering a qu
 estion of Tevelev.\n\nThis is joint work in progress with Luca Ugaglia.\n

 sintótico del espacio de secciones de los múltiplos del divisor. Sin emb
 argo\, la dimensión de Iitaka no se comporta bien en relación a la clase
  numérica del divisor\, por lo que se han dado diversas definiciones que 
 buscan capturar facetas de esta dimensión y que no dependan de la clase n
 umérica.\n\nEn esta charla presentaré algunas definiciones de dimensión
  numérica de un divisor\, junto con un ejemplo que evidencia problemas co
 n estas definiciones y preguntas que surgen a partir de esto.\n
