nThe sine-Gordon equation has been discovered by Bäcklund 1870-ies as the
equation that describes the surfaces with constant negative curvature. He
also proposed a method for constructing non-trivial solutions\, which is
now known as the Bäcklund transformation. The interest to this equation w
as revived in the 1970-ies when it was discovered that it describes phenom
ena in nonlinear optics\, and that it can be solved using the inverse scat
tering method. I will demonstrate that the inverse scattering method appli
ed to sine-Gordon equation can be viewed as generalized Fourier transform
. Using it I will demonstrate that sine-Gordon equation allows a hierarchy
of Hamiltonian structures. In fact it is an infinite-dimensional complete
ly integrable Hamiltonian system which allows global action-angle variable
 s.\n

\nBy Sine–Gordon type equations we mean nonlinear evolution equations wh
ich\, like the Sine–Gordon equation allow Lax representation. We analyze
the mapping between the potential q(x\,t) of the Lax operator to the scat
tering matrix T(t\,λ) and show that it can be understood as a generalized
Fourier transform (GFT). The relevant generalizations of the usual expone
ntials are expressed in terms of the fundamental analytic solutions of L a
nd are known as ‘squared solutions‘ of L. Similar analysis is done als
 o for the mapping between the time derivatives $q_t (x\, t)$ and $T_t (t\,
λ)$. This mapping also can be interpreted as GFT and uses the same ‘sq
uared solutions‘. These expansions allow one to linearize the class of n
onlinear evolution equations (NLEE)\, solvable by the inverse scattering m
ethod for L and to derive their fundamental properties: the description of
the class of NLEE and their hierarchies of Hamiltonian structures.\n

Seminars\n\nLecture held in Theory Seminar Room (4th Floor).\n\nAbstract\n
We explore a new action formulation of hyperfluids\, fluids with intrinsic
hypermomentum. Brown's Lagrangian for a relativistic perfect fluid is gen
eralised by incorporating the degrees of freedom encoded in the hypermomen
tum tensor\, namely by including connection-matter couplings. Quite intere
stingly\, generic hyperfluids are imperfect\, since hypermomentum induces
such effects as bulk and shear viscosities as well as heat fluxes. The var
ious coefficients that appear in the first order expansion of hydrodynamic
s can now be deduced from a Lagrangian formulation\, given a geometrical i
nterpretation and a suggested microscopic description in terms of hypermom
entum. This connection between hypermomentum and dissipative fluids could
shed new light on the physics of relativistic hydrodynamics. The applicabi
lity of the new formalism is demonstrated by exact cosmological solutions.

rimary hair associated to a minimally coupled scalar field. When the scala
r charge is set to zero one obtains a Schwarzschild black hole whereas the
primary hair\, when switched on gradually changes the black hole solution
. A special relation between the two can even render the solutions regular
everywhere and at the origin in particular. These are then solitons or re

cannot be fulfilled on Minkowski. Such emergent symmetries are artifacts
of the linearized approximation on top of flat background\, suggesting tha
t the analysis of the spectrum on flat background is hindered by strong co
upling effects. Such undesirable symmetries are absent already at the lead

Sven F. Stawinski (Universität Bonn) as part of AUTH HEP-TH Seminars\n\n\
nAbstract\nWe consider conformal four-point integrals to investigate how m
uch of their mathematical structure in two spacetime dimensions carries ov
er to higher dimensions. In particular\, we discuss recursions in the loop
order and spacetime dimension. This results e.g. in new expressions for c
onformal ladder integrals with generic propagator powers in all even dimen
sions and allows us to lift results on 2d fishnet integrals with underlyin
g Calabi-Yau geometry to higher dimensions. Moreover\, we demonstrate that
the Basso-Dixon generalizations of these integrals obey different variant
s of the Toda equations of motion\, thus establishing a connection to clas
sical integrability and the family of so-called tau-functions. We then sho
w that all of these integrals can be written in a double copy form that co
mbines holomorphic and anti-holomorphic building blocks. Here integrals in
higher dimensions are constructed from an intersection pairing of two-dim
ensional "periods'' together with their derivatives.\n

nIn this lecture we will study gravity in spacetimes that go back to Minko
wski at infinity i.e. asymptotically flat spacetimes. This framework allow
s to study the gravitationnal field infinitely far away from an isolated s
ource. Detailing the simple example of Minkoswski itself will reveal the e
xistence of three types of infinities: timelike\, spacelike and null. The
last one being the locus where gravitationnal radiation can be captured\,
we will spend some time detailing its rigourous construction using the pro
cedure of conformal compactification à la Penrose. Along the way we will
discover that symmetries\, namely (conformal) Carrollian symmetries\, are
at work at null infinity. Then\, going in the so-called Bondi coordinates\
, we shall show the relation between (conformal) Carroll symmetries and th
e symmetries near infinity of asymptotically flat spacetimes\, the BMS gro
up. If time allows\, we will finally explain how one can use these coordin

ead to matrix theories on D-branes\, focusing on their BPS nature and the
emergence of non-Lorentzian target space geometries. In these limits\, D-b
ranes experience instantaneous gravitational forces\, and when applied to

art of AUTH HEP-TH Seminars\n\n\nAbstract\nThe $O(N)$ vector model with a
quartic interaction in 3 dimensions \n is an one of the most well studi
ed quantum field theories. It is important to describe strongly correlated
physics and its non-trivial fixed point at large $N$ serves as the holog
raphic dual to Vasiliev's higher spin theory on $AdS_3$. In spite of the
extensive studies\, there is no systematic study of the model on $S^1\\ti
mes S^2$. We develop a method to evaluate the partition function and ener
gy density of a massive scalar on a 2-sphere of radius $r$ and at finite t
emperature $\\beta$ as power series in $\\beta/r$. Each term in the power
series can be written in terms of polylogarithms. We use this result to ob
tain the gap equation for the large $N$\, critical O(N) in the large rad
ius expansion.\nSolving the gap equation perturbatively we obtain the lead
ing finite size corrections to thermal one point functions in the model. \
nThis includes one point functions of the higher spin\, $s>2$ currents of

nAbstract\nDirac’s quantum theory of magnetic monopoles requires a Dira
c string attached to each monopole\, and it is important that the fields e
quations do not depend on the positions of the Dirac strings\, provided th
at they comply with the Dirac veto: they must not intersect the worldlines
s of electrically charged particles. This theory is revisited and it is sh
own that it has generalised symmetries related to the freedom of moving th
e Dirac strings. The Dirac veto is interpreted as an anomaly and \nthe pos
sibility of cancelling the anomaly by embedding in a higher-dimensional th
eory will be discussed.\n\nThis talk is based on arXiv:2411.18741\n

how quantum information concepts manifest in particle physics. Beginning
 with low-energy nucleon–nucleon scattering\, I show how characteristic e
ntanglement patterns are tied to emergent symmetries\n such as the Wigner
SU(4) symmetry. Turning to gauge and gravitational interactions\, gluon an
d graviton scattering (and their supersymmetric counterparts) exhibit maxi
mal entanglement at perpendicular kinematics\, while magic remains below i
ts maximal theoretical\n value. However\, it is noteworthy that there exis
t an anticorrelation between magic production and the spin of the particip
ating particles. Finally\, a surprising link emerges when studying entangl
ement in electroweak 2→2 processes at π/2 scattering angles:\n the amou
nt of entanglement is minimized when the Cabibbo–Kobayashi–Maskawa (CK
 M) matrix is nearly (but not exactly) diagonal\, in qualitative agreement
with observation. Extending this reasoning to the lepton sector\, the same
principle favors a Pontecorvo–Maki–Nakagawa–Sakata\n (PMNS) matrix
with two large angles and a smaller one\, again consistent with data\, tog
ether with a possible indication of suppressed CP violation. These recurri
ng patterns suggest that information-theoretic measures may provide a new

to a Carrollian CFT in three dimensions living at null infinity. In this t

in a radial expansion around null infinity in terms of arbitrary boundary
metric data can be used to derive a boundary energy-momentum tensor whose
diffeomorphism Ward identities generalize the usual Bondi loss equations.
Generalizing holography from AdS/CFT to spacetimes with vanishing cosmolog
ical constant has been a long-standing goal. The limit of vanishing AdS cu
rvature radius can be interpreted as an ultra-local or Carrollian limit on
the boundary\, which is related to the (conformal) Carrollian structure a
t null infinity. However\, a straightforward application of such Carrollia
n limits to standard Lorentzian field theories often gives clearly unsatis
factory results. Motivated by this\, we can turn to the bulk for hints on
how such putative dual Carroll theories should be more appropriately const
ructed. In this talk\, I will describe some of the recent work on extracti
ng an energy-momentum-news complex from the dynamics of Einstein gravity n
ear asymptotic null infinity in three and four bulk dimensions. In analogy
with standard holographic renormalization in AdS/CFT\, this is achieved b
y radially solving the Einstein equations near null infinity for general b

 n an R^(1\,1) subspace of the AdS5 boundary resulting to a codimension-2 d

UTH HEP-TH Seminars\n\nLecture held in Theory Seminar Room (4th Floor).\n\
nAbstract\nIt is commonly believed that a unitary supersymmetric quantum f
ield theory (QFT) involving graviton and gravitino fields on fixed 4-dimen
sional de Sitter spacetime (dS4) cannot exist due to known challenges asso
ciated with supersymmetry (SUSY) on spaces with positive cosmological cons
tant. In this talk\, we contradict this expectation by presenting a new un
itary supersymmetric QFT on dS4 background: the free supersymmetric theor
y of the chiral graviton and chiral gravitino fields. The theory overcomes
the known obstacles to unitary global SUSY on de Sitter because the commu
tator between two SUSY transformations closes on the conformal algebra so
(4\,2) rather than the de Sitter algebra so(4\,1). Crucially\, the \nso(4
\,2) symmetry is realised through unconventional conformal-like transforma
tions. Along the way\, we will discuss curious features of the free gravi
tino QFT on dS4: canonical quantisation with the use of a real action fun
ctional forces the field to be chiral\, if one insists on the positivity o
f the norm in the QFT Fock space. As a complementary approach\, we will co
mpute the Euclidean 1-loop path integral of the gravitino on Euclidean dS
4\, and show that group-theoretic characters associated with the UIRs of
so(4\,1) appear. This indicates that the tension between chirality and uni

symptotically flat universe\, the spectra of damped gravitational waves (t
he quasinormal modes) in the two channels of black hole perturbations (lon

in anti de Sitter (AdS) space. I will use this approach to analyze the Wil
son-Fisher fixed point of the O(N) model with a boundary. In particular\,
I will discuss the calculation of the free energy of the CFT in AdS space
using the epsilon expansion\, and use it to extract predictions for the bo
undary central charge and other observables of the BCFT in three dimension
