 ine Seminar\n\n\nAbstract\nIn this talk\, I will introduce some notions an
 d results on symplectic geometry and their applications to classical mecha
 nics. Although omitting technical proofs\, I will explain the main ideas a
 nd results about this theory and its applications. In detail\, I will comm
 ent on the definition of symplectic manifolds\, Hamiltonian vector fields 
 and functions\, Poisson brackets\, momentum maps\, and the Marsden-Weinste
 in theorem. More physically\, I will explain how these structures explain 
 the Hamilton equations of a classical mechanical system and how they are u
 sed to study systems with symmetries.\n
