  results of their Muon g − 2 Experiment for the positive muon magnetic a
 nomaly. The result is 3.3 standard deviations greater than the standard mo
 del prediction and is in excellent agreement with the previous Brookhaven 
 National Laboratory measurement. After combination with previous measureme
 nts\, the new experimental average increases the tension between experimen
 t and theory to 4.2 standard deviations. I will review the standard model 
 calculation of muon g-2 and the experimental method. Then I will discuss t
 he implications of the results for new physics beyond the standard model.\
