 ll known that if a finite set of integers A tiles the\nintegers by transla
 tions\, then the translation set must be periodic\, so\nthat the tiling is
  equivalent to a factorization A+B=Z_M of a finite\ncyclic group. Coven an
 d Meyerowitz (1998) proved that when the tiling\nperiod M has at most two 
 distinct prime factors\, each of the sets A and B\ncan be replaced by a hi
 ghly ordered "standard" tiling complement. It is\nnot known whether this b
 ehaviour persists for all tilings with no\nrestrictions on the number of p
 rime factors of M.\n\nIn joint work with Itay Londner\, we proved that thi
 s is true when\nM=(pqr)^2 is odd. (We are currently finalizing the even ca
 se.) In my talk\nI will discuss this problem and introduce the main ingred
 ients in the\nproof.\n
