Raedschelders (Free University of Brussels) as part of Derived seminar\n\n
\nAbstract\nFor a smooth cubic hypersurface Y\, Sergey Galkin and Evgeny S
hinder exhibited a relation between the naive motives of Y\, the Fano var
iety F(Y) of lines and the Hilbert scheme Y^{[2]} of two points on Y. This
relation has been shown to persist both on the level of rational Chow mot
ives and integral Hodge structures. In a joint work with Pieter Belmans an
d Lie Fu\, we lift this relation to derived categories by exhibiting a cor
responding semi-orthogonal decomposition for the derived category of Y^{[2
]}. I will explain how to obtain this semi-orthogonal decomposition from a
refinement of Bondal-Orlov's results on derived categories of flips and h
ow to further deduce an isomorphism of integral Chow motives using a recen
 t result of Qingyuan Jiang.\n

onsider the Quot scheme parametrising length n quotients of the rank r tri
vial bundle on C^4. There's a natural torus action on this scheme\, for wh
ich the fix points are labelled by r-tuples of solid partitions of total s
ize n. Nekrasov and Piazzalunga have assigned rational function weights to
these fix points and conjectured a formula for the generating function of
weighted counts of fix points. Oh and Thomas have defined general K-theor
etic sheaf counting invariants for Calabi-Yau 4-folds and proved a torus l
ocalisation formula for these. We show that Nekrasov-Piazzalunga's weights
agree with weights coming from the Oh-Thomas localisation formula (matchi
ng up the signs is the tricky part). We use this to prove that Nekrasov-Pi
azzalunga's conjectured formula for the generating function is correct. Th
is is joint work with Martijn Kool.\n

resolution \\tilde{M} which is a smooth projective hyperkaehler manifold d

which is a compactification of the twisted intermediate Jacobian of the c
ubic fourfold. Secondly\, we show that \\tilde{M} is the MRC quotient of t
he main component of the Hilbert scheme of elliptic quintic curves in the
cubic fourfold\, as conjectured by Castravet. This is a joint work with Ch

s we can functorially assign a Mukai vector in this lattice. We show an an

a derived invariant for hyper-Kähler manifolds deformation-equivalent to
the Hilbert scheme of n points on a K3 surface.\n

triangulated category is said to be indecomposable if it admits no nontri
vial semiorthogonal decompositions. For a derived category of coherent she
aves on a variety Y\, we propose a stronger condition\, which implies\, am
ong other things\, that for any variety X\, any semiorthogonal decompositi
 on of the product X x Y is induced from a decomposition of X. For X = {pt}
this implies the usual indecomposability. We show that varieties with fin
ite Albanese morphism\, e.g.\, curves of positive genus\, are stably semio
rthogonally indecomposable in this sense. From this\, we deduce the non-ex

projective curve of genus at least 2 and let N be the moduli space of sta
ble rank-two bundles on C of odd degree. We construct a semi-orthogonal de
composition in the derived category of N conjectured by Narasimhan and by
Belmans\, Galkin and Mukhopadhyay. It contains two copies of the i-th symm
etric power of C for i=0\,...\,g-2\, one copy of the (g-1)-st symmetric po
wer\, and possibly a semi-orthogonal complement to all those blocks. This
complement is expected to be trivial by the BGMN conjecture. Our approach
is based on an analysis of wall-crossing between moduli spaces of stable p
airs\, combining classical vector bundles techniques with the method of wi
ndows. This is joint work with Jenia Tevelev.\n

 >\nby Yoon-Joo Kim (Stony Brook) as part of Derived seminar\n\n\nAbstract\
nA compact hyper-Kähler manifold is a higher dimensional generalization o
f K3 surfaces. An elliptic fibration of a K3 surface correspondingly gener
alizes to the so-called Lagrangian fibration of a compact hyper-Kähler ma
nifold. It is known that an elliptic fibration of a K3 surface is always "
self-dual" in a certain sense. This turns out to be not the case for highe
r-dimensional Lagrangian fibrations. In this talk\, I will propose a const
ruction for the dual Lagrangian fibration of all currently known examples
 of compact hyper-Kähler manifolds.\n

bi-Yau 3-fold X. Its DT invariants count stable bundles and sheaves on X.
The generalised DT invariants of Joyce-Song count semistable bundles and s
heaves on X. I will describe work with Soheyla Feyzbakhsh using the weak s
tability conditions of Bayer-Macrì -Toda to show these generalised DT inv
ariants in any rank r can be written in terms of rank 1 invariants. By the
MNOP conjecture the latter are determined by the GW invariants of X.\n

by Pieter Belmans (University of Luxembourg) as part of Derived seminar\n\
n\nAbstract\nThe isomorphism between the first Hirzebruch surface and the
blowup of the projective plane in a point is a well-known result\, due to
Hirzebruch. From a numerical classification of Grothendieck groups of rank
4 which behave like the Grothendieck group of a smooth projective surface
we expect the existence of exotic noncommutative surfaces\, which are sur
faces not obtained via deforming commutative surfaces. There exist two con
structions: one as an asymmetric noncommutative P^1-bundle (due to de Than
hoffer--Presotto)\, one as a fat point blowup (joint work with Presotto).
I will explain how a Hirzebruch isomorphism for these two families of surf
aces exists as an equivalence of (derived) categories\, and how this is re
lated to some very classical geometry of linear systems. This is joint wor
k with Dennis Presotto and Michel Van den Bergh.\n

m/35/">Non-archimedean Quantum K-invariants</a>\nby Tony Yue Yu (Caltech)
as part of Derived seminar\n\n\nAbstract\nWe construct quantum K-invariant
s in non-archimedean analytic geometry. Our approach differs from the clas
sical one in algebraic geometry via perfect obstruction theory. Instead\,
we build on our previous works on the foundation of derived non-archimedea
n geometry\, the representability theorem and Gromov compactness. We obtai
n a list of natural geometric relations between the stacks of stable maps\
, directly at the derived level\, with respect to elementary operations on
  graphs\, namely\, products\, cutting edges\, forgetting tails and contrac
ting edges. They imply immediately the corresponding properties of K-theor
etic invariants. The derived approach produces highly intuitive statements
and functorial proofs. The flexibility of our derived approach to quantum
K-invariants allows us to impose not only simple incidence conditions for
marked points\, but also incidence conditions with multiplicities. This l
eads to a new set of enumerative invariants. Our motivations come from non
-archimedean enumerative geometry and mirror symmetry. Joint work with M P
 orta.\n
