DESCRIPTION:Title: <a href="https://stable.researchseminars.org/talk/Geome
tricGroupTheory/4/">Groups with quadratic Dehn function and undecidable co
njugacy problem</a>\nby Mark Sapir (Vanderbilt) as part of MAXIMALS (algeb
ra) seminar\n\n\nAbstract\nThis is a joint work with A. Yu. Olshanskii. We
construct a finitely\npresented group with quadratic Dehn function and un
decidable conjugacy\nproblem. This solves a problem of E. Rips. We also pr
ove that our\ngroup has decidable power conjugacy problem. So it is the fi
rst\nexample of a group with decidable word and power conjugacy problems\n
 and undecidable conjugacy problem.\n
