 ning a global spherical shell. I will first discuss some of their metric p
 roperties\, explaining why many of them admit so called locally conformall
 y Kähler metrics. In the second part\, I will concentrate on a specific c
 lass of these manifolds\, having a more combinatorial flavour\, and descri
 be some of their analytic invariants. This is based on joint work with Ale
